TableRead — Privacy Policy
TableRead is a native Mac casting and AI table-read app, part of the PolySpeak voice-production suite. This policy explains exactly what data TableRead accesses and — importantly — confirms that nothing it processes ever leaves your device.
Summary
TableRead makes no network requests of any kind. Casting, script reading, and AI table-read generation all run entirely on your Mac using a local voice pipeline. There is no cloud AI feature in TableRead — unlike PolyScript's optional AI tab, TableRead's read-through generation never touches the network. The app has no server, no account, and no analytics.
What TableRead Accesses
TableRead accesses only data on your Mac that's needed to cast and read your script:
- Script files you explicitly open (.fountain, .fusiondoc)
- A shared local voice-library folder, read to populate the casting picker with available voice models
- A nearby
.polyprojectmanifest file, if one exists near the open script, which TableRead may write progress information into
TableRead does not access your microphone — it doesn't record audio, only generates read-throughs from text using existing voice models. It also does not access your camera, contacts, location, photos, or calendar.
What Leaves Your Device
Nothing, Ever
This is worth stating plainly: TableRead's AI read-through generation runs a local Python/RVC voice pipeline entirely on your Mac via a subprocess. No script text, dialogue, casting choice, or generated audio is ever uploaded anywhere. There is no cloud AI feature in TableRead at all — the entire pipeline, from script to finished read-through, executes on-device with no network connection involved.
What Is Stored Locally
- Script files — wherever you saved them
- Generated read-through audio files — saved to locations you choose on your Mac
- The shared voice library — local voice models used for casting
- Casting assignments — saved back into the script's own file
None of this data is synced to iCloud or transmitted to DataIsland.
What TableRead Does Not Do
- Does not transmit any data anywhere — script text, casting, and generated audio all stay on your Mac
- Does not require an account or login
- Does not collect analytics, usage statistics, or crash reports
- Does not access your files without your explicit action
- Does not access your microphone
- Does not share data with third parties
Children's Privacy
TableRead is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of TableRead after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
